In October, Jillian and I attended the Parliament of the Worlds Religions, an event that has had numerous iterations around the globe since its inception in 1893 in Chicago; its stated mission is is “… to cultivate harmony among the world’s religious and spiritual communities and foster their engagement with the world and its guiding institutions in order to achieve a just, peaceful and sustainable world.” The Parliament included such major voices as Jane Goodall and Vandana Shiva, among a multitude of change agents of our time, spiritually inspired and deeply engaged with preserving and enhancing life on our planet at this critical time. This meaningful convening of 10,000 people from around the world in Salt Lake City, inspired us greatly, still helping to keep our hope alive in this beleaguered world!
