Does Ripley’s Believe It or Not Still Exist?

Several kind students have pointed out that further corrections are needed for the Summer flyer. (Scroll back in the blog to see the latest incorrect flyer.) In the best of moments, these flyers are not my forte; at present I am in the extensive task of seeking a better placement for my Mom, and the details in this project of love and responsibility are time consuming and a little daunting. Yet, there is really no excuse for this second round of corrections. Thus the Ripley’s Believe It or Not heading. And truly, their Believe it or Nots are much more interesting! I am so deeply grateful for the holding I have received as I take on the task of trying to help my Mom– once again amazed and so grateful for community in our wonderful PNW corner. And  overflowing gratitude for my partner Jillian, who stands by my side….

Oh yes, the corrections!

There is an extra Wednesday night class, bringing the classes to 9; as penance I will keep this on the schedule, with no change in cost. And, I do love teaching so it really works!

Tuesday classe are here correctly outlined:

1.5 hour classes: July 5th, and August 2nd

2 hour classes: July 12, 19th, 26th, August 9th and and 16th

NOTE: TUESDAY CLASSES, BECAUSE OF 5 OF 7 BEING 2 HOURS LONG, STILL COST THE SAME AS THE MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLASSES. THE QUARTER ENDS EARLIER, BUT THE MONDAY AND WEDNESDAY CLASSES THAT LAST THROUGH AUGUST MAY BE USED AS MAKE UP CLASSES, OR DROP-IN ADD ONS!

Summer Yoga

“As animals, we walk the earth. As bearers of divine essence, we are among the stars. As human beings, we are caught in the middle, seeking to reconcile the paradox of how to make our way upon earth while striving for something more permanent and more profound.”
― B.K.S. Iyengar, Light on Life

Come practice yoga this summer, which has the potential to help us us in embodied ways “strive for something more permanant and profound,” to support us through the inevitable challenges of our lives, and a more peaceful and inspired existence. The tuesday mornings in Deming class will be offered in a longer class format on several weeks, for the opportunity to practice more deeply with the “innermost” aspects; we will be spending a bit more time with philosophy and sutra reflection, breathing practices and meditation, while still having plenty of time  dedicated to asana practice. Themes for reflection in philosophy and the sutras will be offered in advance for the optional practice of contemplation prior to the class. Please look at the flyer in this post for the schedule of classes, tuition and other details. This all sounds so serious! There is also much enjoyment and even some laughter in classes….. hope to see you soon. Happy Solstice!

Tuesday Mornings at Turtle Haven

I am leaving for a trip East not originally planned for this time! The Turtle Haven 9:45 am class will not meet on June 14th, and a make up class will be held on the 28th of June. I welcome your loving thoughts and prayers as I take this trip to help care for my mother. PLEASE NOTE: CHARLOTTE WILL BE SUBBING FOR ME FOR BOTH THE MONDAY NIGHT CLASS AT 8PETALS, AND THE WEDNESDAY NIGHT CLASS AT TURTLE HAVEN!
