Wonderful Local Opportunity: Nepal THIS SATURDAY!

I am putting on my blog a description of a wonderful forthcoming event at the Deming Library, about which I learned from Dana Jack and Cindy Pfeiffer-Hoyt! I am sending this out as a reminder, for this coming Saturday night. Hope to see you there…. DSC_0608-2 Words from Dana! Kami and Nimi Sherpa are coming to visit. Cindy and I want to invite you to his event at the Deming Library on Aug. 8, from 7-9 pm. I’m attaching the poster for the talk and slide show he’ll give – it should be wonderful. If you haven’t met Kami and Nimi, it will be a treat. He’ll be talking about the aftermath of the earthquake in Nepal and showing some slides as well as selling some beautiful things from Nepal to raise funds to aid people who’ve lost homes and are in need.

1. Unlearn and Rewild, many interviews that focus on the “web of life” http://www.unlearnandrewild.org/purpose/

Tuesday morning yogi Jillian Froebe recommends this link highly, its focus on spirituality and the web of life! Here is an introduction from the website:

Unlearn & Rewild, a biweekly radio program hosted by Ayana Young, brings you conversations with the philosophers, scientists, activists, healers, artists and others who are leading the movements to restore our beleaguered planet to its natural balance. Jillian brought this link to our attention, as we looked at our planet’s health, deep concerns with current heat and fire conditions in our midst in the precious Pacific Northwest, and taking our attention in healing directions, as an intrinsic element of yoga practice.
